Dry film lubricant is a new kind of lubricant that made of fluorine base oil, PTFE thickener and fluorine solvent. Most components are fluorine solvent. The solvent carrying oil and PTFE powder and spread them on the surface to provvide bearing capability.
It is basically transparent and clear, but depends on the PTFE concentration, it could be whiter. We can use it on precision devices because it is clean and no sticky solid like grease, and it would not effect the appearance.
But it is very easy to run off, so we have to keep it closely and safely, and far away from the sun light.
